"You’re the bee’s knees, you ol’ flivver!"
A picture I was working on way long ago and just re-discovered.  I hope to finish it at some point, but I dunno when!  So until then, here’s the very unfinished line work of a flapper and her robot.
note: “flivver” actually refers to a broken down old car, but dat robot’s got some years on him… and she’s teasing.

"Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter - tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms further… And one fine morning -
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."

— Last lines of ‘The Great Gatsby’, F. Scott Fitzgerald. (via nocthurnal)

"…I will remember the kisses
our lips raw with love
and how you gave me
everything you had
and how I
offered you what was left of
me,
and I will remember your small room
the feel of you
the light in the window
your records
your books
our morning coffee
our noons our nights
our bodies spilled together
sleeping…"

Sometimes the idea of sticking a another boring cube into our coffee gets us down. Luckily, a designer by the name of Snow Violet created these brilliant skull and cross bones cubes so we can make our morning routine of staring into our coffee cup a bit more sinister.

"Stars are not small or gentle.
They are writhing and dying and burning.
They are not here to be pretty.
I am trying to learn from them."
